How to Stop Processes with Task Manager

If you are wondering how to stop processes, allow this simple tutorial to show you exactly how to do that. Stopping a process is a lot easier then it seems, and it is very important to stop processes when trying to remove spyware, malware, adware, trojans, and more. So let’s begin.

Task Manager1. Hold Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard until the Windows Task Manager shows up.

2. You should now see five tabs at the top (Applications, Processes, etc). Go ahead and click on the Processes tab.

3. Now you should see a list of .exe’s that are currently running in the background of your computer. Click whatever .exe you are trying to end and make sure it’s highlighted. Now go ahead and click End Process.

4. You should get a warning asking if you are sure you’d like to do this. Click on Yes.

TIP: To organize the list of running processes, just click “Image Name” and it will automatically order the list alphabetically. This can help finding your process you’d like to end so much easier!
