How to Delete Web Searches and Search History

Are you desperately searching for how to delete your web searches and search history? If so, look no further. The following are instructions to delete web searches and search history for different browsers. Please find the browser you are using and follow the instructions.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 

1. Open up Internet Explorer and go to the “Tools” dropdown menu.
2. Choose “Internet Options”  and be sure it is on the “General” tab.
3. Click the “Clear History” button.
4. Now go to the “Content” tab and under “Personal Information”, choose “AutoComplete”.
5. Click “Clear Forms”
6. Click “Ok” to exit. Your web searches and search history should now be cleared.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open up Mozilla Firefox and go and click “Clear Private Data”.
2. Checkmark “Browsing History” and “Saved Form and Search History”. Now click “Clear Private Data Now”.
3. Your web searches and search history is now cleared.

Safari 

1. Open up Safari and click “History” on the top menu.
2. Choose “Clear History” at the bottom of the menu.
3. Now under the Safari menu, choose “Preferences”.
4. Select “AutoFill” and then on the “Other Forms” line choose the Edit button.
5. Select “Google.com” from the list of sites, choose “Remove” and press “Done”.
6. Your web searches and search history is now cleared.

How to Clear Google Toolbar History 

If you would like to clear recent search terms that you have typed into the Google toolbar, use the following instructions to clear them.

1. Click the Google logo on the toolbar to access the drop-down menu.
2. Choose the “Clear Search History” option.
3. Your search history is now cleared.
